Digestion of lycopene (BBa_K274110) and (expected) B. subtilis backbone pSac-Cm using EcoRI and SpeI

Ligated the two fragments together (at 25oC, 2 h). Ligation ratio backbone:insert gene = 1:2

Introduced the ligated fragment into E. coli DH5a and B. subtilis. Ampicillin was used for selection in E. coli and chloramphenicol was used for selection in B. subtilis.
