Data For Our Favorite New Parts
- BBa_K818000 Integration vector for Bacillus subtilis. This vector is designed to integrate into the chromosome of Bacillus subtilis at the SacA locus and replicate in Escherichia coli. The vector is derived from the vector psac-cm (Middleton et al., 2004). Our vector contains the biobrick compatible restriction sites, a terminator (BBa_B0015) after the suffixes sequences and the sequence for RFP (BBa_J04450) in its multiple cloning site (MCS).
- BBa_K818600 Rotting meat sensor system. This construct contains the native Bacillus subtilis promoter PsboA (BBa_K818100) connected to the yellow chromoprotein amilGFP (BBa_K592010) with RBS (B0034). PsboA is strongly activated at the presence of volatiles from rotten meat when Bacillus subtilis is in exponential growth. The system can produce a visible yellow output in six hours.
