Institute for Genomic Biology
"Where Science meets Society"
Opened in 2007, the Institute for Genomic Biology was founded on the basis of unifying and advancing the sciences of agriculture, human health, the environment, and energy use and production. Research at the IGB is specialized to systems biology, genome technology, and cellular and metabolic engineering.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has been an institution of research and science since its establishment in 1867. As a public institution, enrollment is stable with around 42,000 undergraduates and postgraduates. In its time, the University has shown the world a record of academic and scientific excellence through significant contributions in several major fields.
