Human Practices
- Knowing a biosensor is not the ultimate solution to stop childhood diarrhea, we have created hygiene lesson plans to be implemented internationally in Guatemala.
- To predict when to best implement our biosensor and how to analyze the accuracy and reliability of our device respectively, we have also conducted case studies and epidemiological models respectively.
- Additionally, ethical considerations were addressed concerning whether we should tell a community without the necessary resources that their water is contaminated.
- Locally, we gave presentations about synthetic biology to Bioscience High School and the incoming ASU freshman science and engineering class. Also we hosted two high school interns over the summer.
