Destain

About

The following destain solution is used for coomassie dyed SDS pages.

Ingredients

Mix together the following contents under a fume hood:

  • 0.5L Methanol
  • 100mL Acetic Acid
  • 400mL dH2O

Application

  • SDS page gel is placed in a small tub and covered in destain solution
