DYT

Ingredients for 1.7- DYT medium

For 500 mL

  • 2.5 g NaCl
  • 8.0 g tryptone
  • 5.0 g yeast extract

For 100 mL

  • 0.5 g NaCl
  • 1.6 g tryptone
  • 1.0 g yeast extract

Continue to:

  • mix in ddH2O
  • add 5 M NaOH to adjust the pH at 7.0 (few drops will be enough)
  • aliquot: add 3 ml to 15 ml tubes (about two thumbs high) cap loosely
  • autoclave in a rack in a tub with at least 4 cm of water
  • store at 4°C
