Sponsoring the Regional Jamboree gives your company the opportunity to be associated with renowned scientific institutions. Also your company will be positively referred to for giving young scientists an opportunity to broaden their scientific career at an international platform.
The timeline gives a quick overview of the iGEM competition.
iGEM teams
More than 160 teams of undergraduate students from all over the world participate in the iGEM competition. BioBricks
Each participating team receives a kit of DNA parts at the beginning of the summer from the Registry of Standard Biological parts. Project design
Over the summer the teams work at their own universities. They use the parts and develop new parts of their own design. Lab work
The students build their biological systems in the laboratory and operate them in living cells. Outreach
The team also addressed the social aspects of synthetic biology and communicate their project to society. Wiki
