SDS-PAGE Gel with 15% Resolving Gel and 4% Stacking Gel

To create a 15% resolving gel with a 4% stacking gel, use:

Table 1: Preparation of the separating gel solution for 1 gel
15%
dH2O 1.2 ml
30% acrylamid/0.8% methylene bisacrylamide 2.5 mls
4x Lower Tris 1.21875 ml
20% SDS .250 ml
10% Temed .0025 ml
25% ammonium persulfate (APS) .01 ml

To make the 4% stacking gel, use:

Table 1: Preparation of the stacking gel solution for 1 gel
4%
dH2O 1.845 ml
30% acrylamid/0.8% methylene bisacrylamide .402 mls
4x Upper Tris .75 ml
20% SDS .015 ml
10% Temed .003 ml
25% ammonium persulfate (APS) .006 ml
