Week 2

We had our first brainstorming session of what we could do for this year´s project. Some of the preliminary ideas that came up were: bacteria capable of conducting electricity, bacteria that can detect physical pressure so they can be used as a drawing board, radio-opaque bacteria to detect damaged arteries, making TV screen with bacteria, among others. We also contemplated the idea of using a photosynthetic organism. We planed to use the ongoing week to think about and to investigate more about what has been done in the previous years for the competition and to think about what is doable and what is not for the time schedule for the competition.
