Make LB plate cultures from glycerol stocks=

• Glycerol stocks from the following strains were taken one-by-one from the -80^oC freezer and put on ice for plating:
  • EcNR2 --LB
  • Bs 1A833 (ΔmutSL::Spc^r) -- LB-Spc
  • Bs 1A40 (lys-3 trpC2 metA10) -- LB
  • ADP1 WT -- LB
• A sterile toothpick was used to scrape a small amount of cells from the top of the glycerol stock and to transfer the sample to the appropriate plate
• An inoculating loop was then used to streak the plates for individual colonies
• The plates were grown on the bench at RT for two nights

Plate observations (07/05/12)

The plates all show robust, healthy growth and individual colonies, though both of the Bs plates have larger colonies with undulate edges.
