As our project envisions genetically modified organisms in the scope of food production, it is essential to involve the general public in our project.

To achieve this, several steps were taken.

Public Relations


To raise awareness for our project during the competition we are closely cooperating with laborwelt.de, a german news organisation focused on biotechnology. Furthermore we regularly give updates on the progress of our project on our Facebook page as well as on our Twitter timeline.

Politics


Working with genetically modified organisms is highly regulated in Germany. To discuss this situation and possibly work out solutions, we are organising a get-together of politicians from several political parties as well as experts on the field of GMOs mid-september.
