Biobricks

Risks

None of the reagents used in this practical have specific hazards associated with them but gloves must always be worn. Partly as this is good laboratory practice but mostly to prevent contamination with human DNA.

Cold - The distribution plates are stored in a -20oc freezer and prolonged exposure to these temperatures can cause freezer burn. If working at these temperatures more than briefly, we recommend wearing heat proof gloves.
