The WashU 2012 iGEM team consisted of undergraduate students majoring in biochemistry, biomedical engineering and biology. We also had an amazing team of graduate students and professors that advised us along the way without which the project would have been unattainable. We would like to thank them and everyone else who helped us realize this project.
The team was assembled during the beginning of the spring semester. We had weekly meeting where we brainstormed project ideas with the advisors. Once we came up with a concrete idea we started working on our gene. During the summer we did all of the lab work and continued to meet with the advisors weekly to talk over the experimental protocols.
Tony and Lucas were the research leads who directed everyday tasks. Caleb was the lab manager responsible for managing supplies. Andrew and Brian were in charge of the website wiki. Peter was the treasurer. Even though we had separate roles we worked together on most aspects of the project. Go TEAM!
