Data For Our Favorite New Parts
- BBa_K818000 Integration vector for Bacillus subtilis - This vector is designed to integrate into the chromosome of Bacillus subtilis at the SacA locus and replicate in Escherichia coli. The vector is derived from the vector psac-cm (Middleton et al., 2004). Our vector contains the biobrick compatible restriction sites, a terminator (BBa_B0015) after the suffixes sequences and the sequence for RFP (BBa_J04450) in its multiple cloning site (MCS).
- BBa_K818600 Rotting meat sensor system
This construct contains the native Bacillus subtilis promoter PsboA (BBa_K818100) connected to the yellow chromoprotein amilGFP (BBa_K592010) with RBS (B0034). PsboA is strongly activated at the presence of volatiles from rotten meat when Bacillus subtilis is in exponential growth. The system can produce a visible yellow output in six hours.
