This week the team has enjoyed talks from various academic staff around the University.  Through many hours of brainstorming and discussion the team has managed to single out a short-list of 6 strong ideas for the project with a view to cutting this list down to 2 and then hitting the lab with the final proposal by the 15/06/2012.  In the mean time, the long bank holiday weekend has given the team a chance to develop their own favourite proposals in order to present to a team of academics at the University.

The Story so far...

Next week will focus on bringing the non-biologists up to scratch with safe practice in the laboratory.

For those who are interested in the development of the short-list, the changeable document can be found here [http://www.facebook.com/groups/ExiGEM/doc/237977989645584/].

You should make use of the calendar feature on the wiki and start a lab notebook. This may be looked at by the judges to see how your work progressed throughout the summer. It is a very useful organizational tool as well.
