General Glycerol Stock Protocol

1) Add .5 mL 50% glycerol solution in water and .5 mL cell culture 6-18 hours old (cells preferably still in exponential growth phase) to a 1.5 mL Eppendorf tube.
2) If possible, flash freeze in dry ice bathed in 70% ethanol.
3) Store at -80°C.
