To produce highly affine antibodies, a CHO (Chinese Hamster Ovary) cell line is transfected with a low affine antibody construct. The plasmid pcDNA5/FRT is used to allow the easy integration of the gene of interest into the CHO cell genome via FLP-In sites. This integration is catalyzed by the FLP-recombinase in the pOG44 plasmid.
