The Macquarie iGem team aimed to determine how the public's understanding of synthetic biology effected their perceptive of the ethical issues surrounding this technology. We selected a number of high schools to participate in our survey, answering questions ranging from what they believed Synthetic biology is, what can be achieved through synthetic biology?, and what risks are associated with synthetic biology?
