Project description
Biological drugs are very effective and are used to treat many different diseases, such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, viral diseases or cancer. The drawback of biological drugs is that many patients can't afford them, they often have to be frequently applied intravenously and can cause side effects. We plan to modify mammalian cells so that they will produce biological drugs within the organism.
