M9 Minimal Medium
M9 salts x5
- 64 g Na2HPO4.7H2O
- 15 g KH2PO4
- 2.5 g NaCl
- 5 g NH4Cl
dissolved in deionized water to a final volume of 1 L
Autoclave before use.
Final medium
- 1x M9 salts
- 2mM MgSO4
- 0.1mM CaCl2
- 0.4% carbon source (e.g. glycerol, glucose, etc.) - filter sterilized.
- In sterile H2O
NB - Do not autoclave final medium - carbon source will caramelize.
