This year, València Biocampus team members are going to break down communication frontiers among species through an artificial language based on wavelengths, which will allow us to know more about the requirements of the microorganisms we thrive everyday in our labs. Depending on different metabolic conditions, our microorganisms (bacteria and yeast) will express fluorescent proteins that are under the control of promoters sensitive to these nutrients. Therefore, by using a fluorimeter controlled by voice-recognition software, we are able to ask and get answers (like real-life talking!) of bacteria environment!         <td>Our aim in this part of the project is to detect when the yeast starts fermenting. At the end of the project we will be able to “ask” the yeast if there is still any glucose in the medium or not through the addition of H2O2. Furthermore, we will be able to know for how long the media has been running out of glucose. In conclusion, this project allows us to know how much time has elapsed since the fermentation began.</td>
