Protocol 2

Transferring Cultures to Liquid Medium
  • Defrost antibiotic for selection, corresponding to the plate antibiotic. Add antibiotic to 5ml of LB broth corresponding to a 1000 fold dilution.

  • Select three colonies from each plate and inoculate to 5ml of LB media via a pipette tip.

  • Incubate cultures overnight in a shaking incubator ~225 rpm, 37 °C.
