iGEM TU Delft is a team of 10 students and 7 advisors who are working the entire summer on a synthetic biology project called Snifferomyces! The aim of the project is to develop a cheap tuberculosis diagnosis method using yeast. A tuberculosis specific compound present in the breath of those carrying the bacteria is detected by special olfactory receptors which we are introducing into yeast. The presence of these compounds causes the yeast to produce a fluorescent protein which can easily be observed using light. We appreciate your financial support to help us continue this research!. | iGEM TU Delft is a team of 10 students and 7 advisors who are working the entire summer on a synthetic biology project called Snifferomyces!
