Largely spent the day working on researching BioBricks and developing ideas. Got plasmid for school back and finished wiki design. Transformed remaining desired BioBricks into bacteria in order to increase stock.

Brief summary of the week to go in here as well as a link to the EyeGEM video of the week.
Day 1
BIO Colloquium, presenting poster (Link to poster or picture of poster) and spoke to Bioline, Qiagen, Fisher Science and Star Labs about sponsorship.
Day 2
Meetings about the lab etc. Came with ideas such as project designs, comparator circuit, EyeGEM etc.
Day 3
First day in labs following morning meeting. Transformed bacteria with three BioBricks (need numbers) and inoculated media with bacteria.
Day 4
Checked inoculated bacteria and none had grown; believed it was the antibiotic. Finalised radio interview and went to Cambridge. Met with Cambridge iGEM team and discussed projects, spoke about possibly collaborating and validating one another's work later on. STAR radio interview with Khadjia and Pascoe as our spokespeople, went very well and is airing soon.
Day 5
Split into two groups. Half went on to research the various BioBricks with a view to the project and developed ideas. Other half spoke with Amy about the video etc. Evening presentation by Sebastian Runkel regarding his research using nitric oxide, found salmonella would be a possible chassis.
