Culturing Synechococcus elongatusin solid medium.


Reagents and Materials

  • BG-11 solid.
  • Parafilm.
  • Erlenmeyer flask.
  • Lighter.
  • S. elongatus strain.
  • Sowing handle.


Protocol

  1. Add 0’1μl of S. elongatus in a plate, BG-11 solid.
  2. Sterilize the inoculating loop with the lighter, cool and speed across the plate.
  3. Finally, sealed with parafilm.
