As we are a team of only ten people, and the iGEM competition is a new experience for many of us, we work closely together on all aspects of our work. There is no graph, no abstract, not even a single presentation slide that isn't enthusiastically discussed by the whole team. We divide our lab work as well, so that each of us has spent some time working on the other modules.

Munich is in Bavaria, known for its beer (in Munich especially the Oktoberfest) and its dialect. Though many Munich natives don't have a dialect, you will always find many Münchners drinking beer in one of the many beergardens on a sunny day.

Our team is from Munich, a city known around the world for the Oktoberfest, but home to much, much more! Munich hosts two research-focused universities: the [https://2012.igem.org/Team:TU_Munich Technical University of Munich (TUM)], with whom our team has worked closely on Munich's [https://2012.igem.org/Team:LMU-Munich/Human_Practice/SynBio_Day SynBio Day], and of course, Ludwig Maximilians University – our team. The LMU is famous for over 500 years of research in academics. We comprise the LMU's third iGEM team. Munich is located in the state of Bavaria, which is home to 80% of the flora and fauna biodiversity within Germany. Working hard in the lab, we strive to make the LMU, and the city of Munich, proud of our accomplishments in this year's competition.

Munich has two universities, the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU, our team) and the Technical University ([https://2012.igem.org/Team:TU_Munich TUM]). Even though the interests don't overlap extensively (the LMU is more interested in basic research while the TUM more in application), there is still some sort of lighthearted competition between these two about which of these is the "real" university of Munich. Despite this, our two teams got along just fine and collaborated on the [[Team:LMU-Munich/Human_Practice/SynBio_Day|Synbio day]].

Munich itself, even though it has a lot of different places to offer, has many "central" places. If you want to go shopping: Kaufinger Straße, if you want to go to a park and lay in the sun: Englischer Garten, if you want to visit a natural history museum: Deutsches Museum, if you want to visit an art museum: Pinakotheken, if you want to study: LMU (just kidding). But you get the point. That is probably also the reason why we see our city as one of the largest villages in the world, because we always seem to meet people we know, because we all go the same places. And maybe someday we will meet you here ...

The LMU-Munich team is exuberantly happy about the great success at the World Championship Jamboree in Boston. Our project Beadzillus finished 4th and won the prize for the "Best Wiki" (with Slovenia) and "Best New Application Project".
