We are a group of seven students, two bachelor students and five master students, and three advisors, Prof. Thorsten Mascher, Dr. Tina Wecke and Dr. Georg Fritz. Two of us are taking part for the third time, but for the majority of the team it is the first time. The composition of the team is great, as we have a bit of know-how about the structure of the competition and the way BioBricks work, but the enthusiasm of the first time also on board. A great opportunity was given to us, as we are able to work in the lab of Prof. Thorsten Mascher as a whole team. This makes it possible to work through having a dedicated space to organize for the whole period of working time. He also is the one supporting us with fine tuning of our project and gives us input on the theoretical hows. Tina is the one to go to if something in the lab is frustrating to trouble shoot and Georg is the one advising us how to best evaluate parts and how to model.

The majority of us is studying biology, two of us are bachelor and five are master students... and ''Julia'', she is studying biochemistry in her masters program. Together with ''Jara'' she participates now for the third time in the iGEM competition. They have the know-how and calmness of two experienced iGEM members. Especially ''Jara'' is known as our walking library. If she is not helping out, she works on the vectors of the '''''Bacillus''''' '''B'''io'''B'''rick'''B'''ox. The rest of us enjoyes for the first time all the different aspects and work of an iGEM project; and the stress in the lab. Only ''Simon'' gets to escape ''often'' from it, as he is dealing with topics like collaborations, website, human practise, sponsors and and and. But as we are a group of only nine people there is no graph, no abstract, not even one presentation slide not beeing discussed enthusiastically and the work not beeing divided. The design and story of everything is developed and controlled by ''Franzi'', ''Jenny'' and ''Tamara''. In the lab they work as well together on the '''Sporo'''beads. Thereby, ''Franzi'' and ''Tamara'' are fusing different proteins to the spore crust, while ''Jenny'' and ''Julia'' are inhibiting the germination. Monitoring the lab duties and safety is ''Korinna'', also known as the data generator. This amount of data derived from her work and evaluation of all our promoters.

All of us are working closely together with our three advisors, ''Prof. Thorsten Mascher'', ''Dr. Tina Wecke'' and ''Dr. Georg Fritz''. ''Prof. Thorsten Mascher'' is not only offering us a place in his lab, but a lot of support and input on all parts of the project too. ''Tina'' is the one to go to for trouble shooting and strategy planning and ''Georg'' is the one advising us how to best evaluate parts and how to model.
