We synthesized this monomeric far-red fluorescence protein with a codon-optimized version for the use in ''B. subtilis'' with pre- and suffix of the Freiburg standard. We cloned this reporter in front of the terminator B0014. At the moment we have the right clones of B. subtilis with the integrated construct. Unfortunately we have no equipment to measure this reporter. Neither our plate reader nor the fluorescent microscope has the required filters.
